About Us
The Sage Steps Web site is a centralized resource for individuals to measure their environmental impact based on their actual usage of electricity, natural gas, water and fuel. We also acknowledge the various lifestyle choices that take small steps to lessen the impact on the environment. We provide conservation tips and rebate information.
Sage Score
The scoring is localized, weighted regionally, and empowers people to understand and improve the consumption choices they make on a daily basis. The Sage Score can be posted on Facebook. Users can review a series of articles on water and energy conservation, sustainability, and local, regional & national rebates/tax incentives to continuously improve their score. Parents gain easy access to a variety of learning tools on water and energy conservation. At Sage Steps we believe the path to global sustainability starts with individual accountability and is taken one small step at a time.
Business Model
Our business model is to provide the scoring and localized conservation ideas and rebate information at no cost to the user. We rely on public utilities, state and local government, energy companies, and companies in the private sector that offer environmental friendly products and services.
To our users, please ask your city and utilities to sponsor the Sage Steps site. To our future subscribers – the site is free for your residents and customers to use, and they will be able to measure their consumption of electricity, natural gas, water and fuel via the Sage Score, compare it to their neighbors, friends and family, and take small steps to use energy and water wisely.
